After SA1, the class watched the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Movie and we had a great time. The purpose of the Movie was to introduce the series of books: Diary of a Wimpy Kid, which is a realistic fiction novel written by Jeff Kinney. The book is about a boy names Greg Heffley and his struggles in middle school.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid is the first book in a seven book franchise.
The second: Rodrick Rules was released in 2008 and was listed on the New York Times Best Sellers list for 117 weeks.
The Last Straw, the third book in the series, released in January 2009 was on the New York Times Best Sellers for 65 weeks, peaking at number one.
Dog Days was released in October 2009 with 217 pages. The book was ranked at number one on New York Times Best Sellers List for all 25 weeks, making Dog Days the #1 Best Selling Book of 2009.
The Ugly Truth was released in November 2010 with 217 pages.
The sixth, Cabin Fever was released in November 2011 and the seventh, The Third Wheel was released in 2012.

My favourite character is Angie the photographer. She is nice but sometime mean.I like the part when she took a photo of patty and Greg fighting at bulldog wrestling.It is hilarious.I also like Rowley.He is very funny.

I like the charater greg as he was always in trouble and making funny trouble for his older brother rodrick and rodrick got scolded by his mom about the thing and greg got chased during the halloween period with his friend although the two of then hang out for a long period,greg was not even sorry when he broke his friend's hand and many other things and his friend hang out with another person but the thing that let then get back again is the teenagers who picked the cheese (cheese touch )and made his friend ate but greg didi not want every one to avoid him so greg said that he ate it, it was such a touching movie!

Q1. My favourite character would definitely be Rowley Jefferson(played by Robert Capron). Due to his childish nature, he seems to be left out in middle school. Heck, he's actually more like a 4th grader instead of a 6th grader. I like him because he seems to be the "victim" in everything bad that happens. And he even...I'll put it this way...and he even _ _ _ the Cheese.I pity him.

I like the part when it was haloween when Greg and Rowley ran into the devil worshiper woods and the part when they were scared out of the woods by Fregly thinking that he was one of the devil worshipers...As Fregly wore a unicorn suit and can also scare Greg and Rowley :)

My favourite character is Greg as he is very funny. My favourite part of the movie is the part when Greg lost to a girl,Patty,in the bulldog wrestling as it was hilarious. To have a boy losing to a girl,it's almost unbelievable. Boys should be better at wrestling than girls. However, Greg had to face the concequences as he put 2 ankle weights in his legs to trick the coach into thinking that he gained weight. In the end he was transferred into the bulldog wrestling class.

ReplyDelete1)My favorite character is Angie, even though Greg doesn't seem to like her and see her as a bad person, she actually was trying to help Greg in a way he cant see. Angie helped Greg in various ways like putting Greg and Rowley's friendship back together when they fought.
2)My favorite part was when they first met Angie, Greg ignored her but Rowley seemed to like her. It reminds me on how I met a friend of mine, that is probably why I like that part the most.

ReplyDeleteI just read The Third Wheel. The most outrageous incident that happened was when Greg's jacket was covered in greasy smears from the vacuum cleaner. I think he felt embarrassed and ashamed because he looked like a ugly slob. If I were Greg, I would just smile and take off my jacket and make a joke out of it so that the people watching me would forget about the incident.

Q3. The book I picked to do a review on is... of course... The Third Wheel. Wait, doesn't that mean a part that is left out/not needed? So here comes the outrageous incident. There was a Valentine's Day dance in Greg's school and at first, most of the boys couldn't care lees about the dance. But that all changed when th first Candy Grams got handed out. The Candy Grams are invitations to the Valentine's Day dance. After the first wave of Candy Grams were delivered, somee of the boys who didn't get one were jealous of the ones who did. As for Greg, he was pretty jealous too. So he bougt a bunch of Candy Grams and got it delivered to himself to make himsself look unavailable. It didn't work. So basically, he spent money on somehing that was NOT NEEDED. In the book, he stated he felt stupid, but if I were him, I woudn't buy a bunch of Candy Grams for myself, but for others, and hope for the best. We can't change fate, it takes its own path by the small choices we make.

He was trying to retrieve a blue knitted blanket that was thrown and landed onto a branch on one of the trees.he slipped and was left hanging there. Then his trousers dropped as it was too big for him.
I think Greg felt embarrassed.
If I were him, I would try to forget what happened and enjoy myself for the other part of the day.

Once he joined the safety patrol club with Rowley, his friend, as they had the privilege to drink hot chocolate and miss pre-algebra lessons. One day while Greg was walking the pre-school kids home, he decided to scare the kids with worms. However at that moment he was wearing Rowley's hat. Rowley's neighbour thought that Greg was Rowley and complained to his principal about Rowley using worms to scare the kids.

When he reached school, he ws walking in the hallway and a pair of dirty underwear fell out of his trousers.Greg kept walking and hoped the girls that were behind him might thought the underwear wasn't his.

ReplyDelete1) I think the most outrageous part is when Rodrick invited a lot of people to their house when their parents was not at home, over night. The coming morning the house was a mess, Rodrick told Greg that he needed to help clean the house or else Rodrick will tell his most embarrassing secret to everyone. They were abe to finish cleaning up the house but someone wrote 'Hi Rodrick' on the toilet door with permanent ink. It was a good thing that there was a spare door at the basement. They were able to change the door but there was no door lock.
2) I think Greg will feel guilty.
3) I will tell my parents what Rodrick did.

But it turned out not to be chicken pox it was a pimple. I think Greg felt a little ashamed of himself. If I was Greg, I would tell Abigail that there is a bump on her chin.
